James Philip Corfman

James "Jimmy" Corfman, age 64, passed away on October 2, 2023 in Wichita, Ks.

Jimmy began his life in Salina KS and was born August 22, 1959 to Roy Dean & Roberta (Dunn) Corfman.  He moved with the family to the farm near Whitewater KS and graduated from Remington High School in 1977.  Most recently, Jimmy was employed as  a truck driver which allowed him to travel to many states.   He enjoyed seeing the country and stopping to shop at thrift stores etc. looking for unexpected treasures.  Jimmy had a great interest in depression era glassware and could remember patterns, makers and the years produced from memory only.  He attended The First United Methodist Church in Wichita and made several close friends there.   

Jimmy is survived by his brother Gene, sister Jolene (Miles) Erpelding, Stepmother Arlene Corfman as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and sister Linda Deen Weesner.

Visitation is from 1pm - 5pm Sunday, October 8, 2023 at Petersen's Family Funeral Chapel. Graveside service will be 10:00am Monday, October 9, 2023 Whitewater Cemetery in Whitewater, Ks.

Memorial contributions can be made out in care of the family and left with Petersen Family Funeral Home.
