James E. Costa Jr.

James E. Costa, Jr., of Brockton, passed away suddenly on December 16, 2025. He was 64. James, affectionately known as Jim. Jim was a legend in the industrial finishing industry. He was an entrepreneur, problem solver, and designer. He helped many companies solve complex problems in their painting operations over a long, successful career. He was a tech savvy man who spent many hours researching new ideas, designs, and projects in his free time. He was a longtime member of the Braintree Elks. Jim's family fondly remember trips to Lake Winnipesaukee, days on the boat and motorcycle rides on a nice day. He will be remembered for his strong will, independence, sense of humor and ability to give advice in any situation. He will be deeply missed.

Beloved husband of 43 years to Helen (Kurey) Costa. Devoted father of Jenepher Bates and her husband Chris of North Attleboro, Robyn Costa of Brockton and James Costa and his wife Shannon of Raynham. Cherished Papa of Logan, Gianna, CJ, Ellie, and Olivia.
