James B. Crouse, 89, of Ottertail, died Saturday, November 16, 2024 at his residence.
James Bradley Crouse was born November 15, 1935 in Paullina, Iowa to Harry and Maidie (Davis) Crouse. He graduated from Paullina High School in 1954. He was a pioneer in the cable television industry from 1956 to 1986. Jim retired in 1986.
He was a member of Maine Presbyterian Church, serving as treasurer for many years. Through the years he was a member of many civic groups.
Jim was a master wood worker and craftsman, loved fishing, and was everyone's favorite handyman.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Harry and Maidie Crouse; an infant son, Steven; two brothers, Harlan and Gale, and one sister, Shirley.
Jim is survived by his wife, Loraine Crouse of Ottertail; his children, Joni (Steve) Bateman of Maple Plain and David (Melissa) Crouse of Santa Rosa, TX; grandchildren, Lauren Bateman (Ryan) and Alison Dahl (Aaron); great-grandchildren, Nolan, Hattie, and Parker Dahl; sister, Catherine Johnson, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial Service: 2:00 p.m. Wed. December 4, 2024 at Maine Presbyterian Church rural Underwood, with visitation one-hour prior to the service at the church.
