James Crunk Obituary
James was born on July 4, 1960 in Detroit Michigan. His family moved to Highland, Michigan in 1978, and he would soon follow. James always had a caring way about him and looked to serve others.
He started out his career working at Henry Ford Hospital after moving to Highland. He was a hard worker, working two jobs, helping raise his own family. He married Tamara Kirkpatrick on July 24, 1982 and was blessed with two children, Michael and Jessica. He started working in fire service in 1980 and worked his way up to fire chief in 1999 where he served until he retired in 2015. Overall, he spent over 35 years serving his community. Following his retirement from fire service, he spent time working with Star EMS, always finding a way to care for others.
James loved his family and always enjoyed the technology of texting them to keep in touch. He will be greatly missed by not only family and friends, but the community of Highland Township as well.
Beloved husband of Tamara for 40 years. Loving father of Michael Crunk (Brittni Eagle) and Jessica Crunk (Daryl Scott). Proud grandfather of Tate and Brees Crunk. Dear son of John and Joyce Crunk. Caring brother of John Crunk (Janet), Teresa Pratt (John), Larry Crunk (Elizabeth), and the late Kathryn Marie Crunk. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Visitation and funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 9, 2022 from 12:00pm until the time of funeral service at 3:00pm at Lynch & Sons Funeral Home 404 E. Liberty St. Milford, MI 48381.
