James Erickson "Eric" Cucksee

James "Eric" Erickson Cucksee, age 45, of Dalton, GA passed away on Wednesday, December 6, 2023. He was a beloved husband, father, son, and brother.
Eric was born November 15, 1978, in Dalton, Georgia, and attended Northwest Whitfield High School. He then went on to study textile engineering at Southern Polytechnic State University, where he was a proud member of the Tau Kappa Epsilon (TKE) fraternity. After graduation, his love for his family drew him back to the Dalton area.
Eric loved his children, family, and friends and was loved by many. He was a social butterfly and was known for his big heart. He loved the outdoors, and you could find him riding his four-wheeler or capturing aerial photographs with his drone. He loved listening to music and audiobooks and was an active member of the Dalton Elks Lodge where he often volunteered. Eric made an impact on everyone he met, and he will be greatly missed.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents Lester and Arnetta Duckett, Jesse and Thelma Cucksee, and Ralph Morgan. He is survived by his wife Christine (Dupre) Cucksee; children Alyssa, Ian, Harrison Luke, and Maddox Cucksee; father and stepmother James "Farrell" and Donna Cucksee; mother and stepfather Wilma and Bill Morgan; sister Tara Cucksee; brother Jesse Cucksee (Sarah Cucksee); step-siblings Hollie Patterson (Eric Patterson) and Adam Pritchett; nephews Jackson and Andrew Cucksee; and grandmother Ysleta Morgan.
A memorial service to remember Eric will be at 1:00 pm in the Chapel of Dalton Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Saturday, December 16, 2023, at Dalton Funeral Home.
