James Dale, 95, of Brownsburg, Indiana, passed away on October 29,  2024. James was born on February 27, 1929 in Baltimore, Maryland to Ethel (Pratt) and Hubert Dale. He is survived by his brother, Charles (Nancy) Dale; and his three daughters, Sharon (Stephen) Baker, Joyce (William) Buchanan, and Linda Icenogle. Grandpa Jim was blessed with six grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. 

James (Jim, Jimmy or Dale) attended Bel Air High School in Bel Air, Maryland and graduated in 1947. 

James moved to Indiana in 1949 where he started hauling milk and farming. After farming, Jim opened up the famous Dale’s TV on Main Street in Brownsburg, Indiana until retirement called him to the white sands of Fort Myers, Florida. 

James was a self taught musician who learned to play guitar, piano, harmonica and other instruments at a young age. In addition to his love of music, Jim obtained his Pilot License and enjoyed flying for many years!

A memorial service will be held on Monday November 4, 2024 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm with funeral services following immediately after at Eric MD Bell Funeral Home.

James will be laid to rest in K of P Cemetery in Lizton, Indiana following the funeral service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association in loving memory of James.

Arrangements are entrusted to Eric M.D. Bell Funeral Home in Pittsboro, Indiana.  All are encouraged to share thoughts, prayers, and memories with his family on his memorial page found on the funeral home's website, www.ericmdbellfuneralhome.com .
