James Royce Daniel, Jr passed away April 20, 2023. He was born October 15, 1956 in Mineral Wells to James and Erma Lee Lewis Daniel. Buddy served in the US Marines. He was a jack of all trades; a heavy machine operator, welder, mechanic, salesman, and rancher. He was a member and past Commander of American Legion Post 75, former member and Mess Sargent of the Palo Pinto County Sheriff's Posse. Buddy enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with friends and family.
Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Diann Daniel; children, Brendan Daniel, Charity Garland-Davis and husband Brandon, and Coy Garland and wife Deanna; grandchildren, Cainan Daniel, Cambren Morrison, Emma Garland, and Wyatt Garland; brother, Bryan Daniel and wife Melissa; sisters, Linda Choate, Judy Streun and husband Donnie, Sherry Friddle, and Lela Gilstrap and husband Burnie; brother-in-law, Sammy Streun; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by son, Cambron Ray Daniel; his parents; and sister, Beverly Streun.
In honor of Buddy, a picking and gathering will be held from 12-4 p.m., Saturday, April 29, 2023 at the American Legion Post 75, 75 American Legion Dr, Mineral Wells, Tx 76067.
