James Dennis Dempsey, 86, of Central Point, passed away Saturday, March 23, 2024 at his residence.
James was born December 19, 1937 in Baker City, Oregon to parents, Clarence and June (Schultz) Dempsey. Later he married Joan Kathlene Rue, together they had three children, Jami, Jay and Jerry.
James loved going on walks, fishing, watching the Seattle Seahawks and helping others. He worked as a heavy equipment operator in construction. James later met Christie, and they enjoyed spending time together traveling.
He was preceeded in death by his parents, Clarence and June; wife, Joan; daughter, Jami and son, Jay. He is survived by his girlfriend, Christie; son, Jerry and his wife Tammie; son-in-law, Mark; and daughter-in-law, Brenda.
James loved his family and friends, and will be greatly missed.

I have always loved the Dempsey family. : ) Jami was my best friend in Jr. / and high school. Jim was wonderful, always smiling and laughing, so nice to everyone. I have great fond memories of him.
I'm so sorry for your loss.
I can't wait to see you all again in heaven.
