James Earl Dockins was born September 3, 1943, in Wenatchee, Washington, to William Clifton Dockins and Viola Joyce (Townsend) Dockins.
James died on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, at his home in Salem, AR with his family.
James was married to Paulette Rowden on April 25, 1964. James is survived by his wife, Paulette of Salem, AR. James and Paulette have two children, a daughter, Jami, and a son, Joe. James is survived by both children and two beloved grandchildren, Chafen Scott DeLao, from daughter Jami, and Olivia Brooke Dockins from his son Joe and wife Julie.
James had one brother, Melvis Dockins, who preceded him in death, two nephews, Scott Dockins who preceded him in death and one surviving nephew, Wayne Dockins and his son Zachary Dockins.
James is survived by many other cousins, loved ones, and friends.
Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Thursday, July 3, 2025, at Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas with Bro. Mike Yates, Ron Helm, and Chafen DeLao officiating. Visitation will be 10:00 A.M. until time of service on Thursday, July 3, 2025, at Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas. Interment will be in the Oxford Cemetery in Oxford, Arkansas. Pallbearers will be Darrell Ball, Jack Yancey, Keith McHenry, Danny Lash, Charles Everett, and Howard Lee Blankenship.
