Frankie Evelyn Runsick, 86, of Evening Shade, Arkansas, passed from this walk of life on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at the Heart Hospital in Little Rock, Arkansas.
She was born near Evening Shade on April 9, 1939, daughter of the late Ivan E. and Floy E. (Thomas) Welch. Evelyn and Herman Henry Runsick Jr. were united in marriage on March 9, 1956. She and Herman recently celebrated 69 years of marriage. Her marriage and the family her and Herman raised together was one of her greatest accomplishments. Evelyn was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend to many. She was very talented and loved flowers, gardening, sewing, quilting, cooking and canning for her family. Evelyn was a member of the Piney Fork Church of Christ.
Evelyn is survived by her husband of 69 years Herman Runsick, Jr. of the home; daughter Eva Jean (Runsick) Haley and husband Lonnie; sons Randal Scott Runsick and wife Wanda and David Lynn Runsick; two grandchildren John Henry Runsick and wife Amy and Kohn Marcus Runsick and wife Tonya and three great grandchildren Toby Runsick, Evelyn Runsick and Ross Runsick.
She was preceded in death by her parents Ivan and Floy E. Welch; infant sister; brother Floyd Dean Welch; maternal grandparents Frank and Isabel (Berry) Thomas and paternal grandparents Dave and Agnes (Godwin) Welch.
Pallbearers include: John H. Runsick, Kohn M. Runsick, Stewert Runsick, Scottie Runsick, Barry Farris and Jeremy Brock
Honorary Pallbearers include: Raymond Payton, Frankie Dickerson, Con Battles, Tony Farris, Zack Harrington, Paul Higgnbottom and Van Johns
Graveside Services will be held, Wednesday, August 27, 2025, beginning at 10:00 AM with Zack Harber, Josh Wells and Paul Higginbottom officiating at the Baker Cemetery, south of Myron, Arkansas.
