Tessa Joy Tahira Newman, 19, of Salem, Arkansas passed from this walk of life on Thursday, July 3, 2025, at her home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Evanston, Illinois, on September 11, 2005, the daughter of Michael Todd and Dana Lynn Newman. Tessa was a child of God and a member of Faith Country Church in Salem, Arkansas. She loved riding horses, Christian music, and reading especially her Bible. Tessa was a St. Jude survivor. She loved her family and spending time with them made her happy. Tessa was an inspiration to many throughout her life.
Tessa is survived by her parents, Michael and Dana Newman; brothers, Samuel Newman, John Newman, Hank Newman, William J. Downs and Cody S. Scrivener; sisters, Madeline Newman, Katherine Dobbs (Kyle), Annie Grace Newman, Sophie Newman and Ella Newman and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Matthew Newman; sister, Emmalie Newman and loving horse, “Rowdy”.
Services will be Tuesday, July 8, 2025, at Faith Country Church in Salem, Arkansas, beginning at 11:00 AM with Bro. Bill Yancey officiating.
