James P. Donnery passed away on March 28, 2023, at Westchester Medical Center in Mt. Pleasant, NY. He was 81 years old. Son of the late Edward T. and Virginia M. (Shirey) Donnery. He was born on December 27, 1941, in Cornwall, NY.
James was a Boilermaker and Pipefitter for Local Union #5 in Floral Park, NY. James was also a former member of Fort Montgomery Fire Department and also a member of Sacred Heart Church in Highland Falls.
Left to cherish his memory are his children: Sean Donnery and his wife, Theresa of Sarasota, FL; Kim Donnery Espinoza of Highland Falls, NY; Marie Muschek and her husband, Rich of Madison, AL; and Emily-Kate Donnery of Land O' Lakes, FL; his siblings: Edward Thomas Donnery of Arizona; Timothy J. Donnery of Highland Falls, NY; JeanAnn Barbolini of Florida; and Virginia "Gina" Dodge also of Florida; and by his beloved grandchildren: Christopher, Amelia, Isabella, Gabriella, James, Sophia and Brady. James will be greatly missed by many nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to his parents, James was also predeceased by his loving wife Roxanne Donnery.
Visitation will be held on from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. on Monday, April 3, 2023, at William F. Hogan Funeral Home, 135 Main St., Highland Falls, NY. A Funeral Mass to celebrate the lives of both James and Roxanne will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 4, 2023, at Sacred Heart Church 353 Main St., Highland Falls, NY. Interment will follow at Eagle Valley Cemetery in Town of Highlands, NY.
