Highland Falls NY Native, Patrick James Donnery, most recently of Palisades NY, passed away peacefully after a short battle with Covid on Feb. 17, 2024, at Pascack Valley Hospital, Westwood, NJ with his family at his side.
Patrick was born in Cornwall, NY, on January 4, 1955, to James F. and Dorothy McCabe Donnery, who both predeceased him. He is also pre-deceased by his brother, James F. Donnery II.
Pat, affectionately known as "Red", was a 1973 graduate of James I. O'Neill HS in Highland Falls & was honorably discharged from The US Army in 1975 after serving in Germany.
Patrick retired in 2011 after a career as a member of Boilermakers Local #5, Floral Park, NY.
Patrick is survived by his beloved children, son Patrick James "PJ" Donnery of Wheatley Heights, NY; daughter Erin Kate Donnery of Raleigh, NC; sister-in-law, Gail McCue Donnery of Syracuse, NY; former spouse Kathleen Delaney Donnery of Goldens Bridge, NY and his partner, Diane Dunleavy Donnelly of Palisades, NY; as well as many Cousins.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., on Friday, February 23, 2024, at William F. Hogan Funeral Home, 135 Main St., Highland Falls, NY. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 24, 2024, at Sacred Heart Church, 353 Main St., Highland Falls, NY. Interment will follow at Eagle Valley Cemetery.
