James "Jim" Eugene Doughty Jr. went home to Jesus on August 8, 2025. At age 54. Born on April 14, 1971, in Buchtel, Ohio, to James and Mary Doughty, Jim was a loving fiancé, father, son, brother, uncle, and friend whose heart and smile touched everyone who knew him.

He is survived by his parents James and Mary doughty. He also leaves behind his fiancé, Belinda McDonnell, daughters, Mallory (Tyler), Megan (Ethan), Cooper, Katelyn, and Promise; sisters, Carol (Tim) and Jamie (PJ); as well as nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, many dear friends, and his four-legged companion, Roo.

Jim joins in heaven, his brother Bubba Doughty and many other loved ones.

A dedicated employee at All Utilities and Excavation Inc., Jim leaves behind a cherished work family.

He loved the outdoors, Ohio State and Cincinnati Bengals Football, jeeping with his friends, NASCAR, and will be remembered for his kindness, laughter, and unwavering love for those around him.

We will be having a celebration of life for Jim on September 28, 2025 at 2 pm at The Plains Community Park 65 Connett Rd. The Plains, OH 45780. All who knew and loved him are welcome to attend.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Warren-Brown Funeral Home, Nelsonville, Ohio.
