James Michael Duffy, born on April 24, 1946, in Brooklyn, NY, passed away on July 2nd, 2025 after a six-year battle with dementia.
Jim was a proud Army Veteran, bravely serving his country in the Vietnam War. Following his military service, he dedicated himself to public service as a police officer with the NYPD. Later, he continued his commitment to security, working at Sandia National Laboratories.
Beyond his distinguished careers, Jim had a profound love for animals. He dedicated countless hours to helping dogs, cats, and horses throughout his lifetime. One of his proudest accomplishments was becoming a farrier, a skill he pursued alongside his work in law enforcement and security.
Jim's spirit was marked by his infectious laugh, his enjoyment of ice cream, and his fondness for a cold Shiner beer. He will be deeply missed by all who loved him.
Rest easy, Jim. You were loved.
