James Rowe Duncan, of Rolla, MO, passed away Wednesday, September 17, 2025 at the age of 89.

He was born on July 23, 1936 in Rolla, MO to the late James Claude Duncan and Mary Geneva (Stough) Duncan. On November 27, 1958, he married Glenda Fay (Duckworth) Duncan.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by two sisters, Shirley Grimmer and Roberta Deeb.

Rowe had 37 years of faithful employment with Holsum Bakery (Interstate Brands). He had a passion for bowling and was a league bowler for over 60 years obtaining Sportsmanship Awards from Coachlight Lanes. He also enjoyed fishing, picking out walnuts, crossword puzzles, and playing cards with family and friends. Rowe was also the family's handyman. If something could be fixed, he would figure out a way to do it.

Rowe will be greatly missed by his surviving family which includes: his wife, Glenda Fay Duncan of Rolla, MO; three children, Mike Duncan and wife, Carolyn of Rolla, MO, Shelly Collier and husband, Dan of Rolla, MO and Sheila Duncan of Jefferson City, MO; a sister, Pat Uhlemeyer of East Alton, IL; one sister-in-law, Reba Bryson of Rolla, MO; eight grandchildren, Matt Duncan, Blake Duncan, Marisa Salanski (Michael), Jacey Moffett (Josh), Audrey Collier, Ryan Collier, Holden Hirsch, and Connor Hirsch; and four great grandchildren, Hudson Salanski, Brecken Salanski, Rowen Moffett, and Rip Moffett.

A memorial service for Rowe Duncan will be conducted at 7 p.m. on Friday, October 10, 2025 at the Null and Son Funeral Home in Rolla. A visitation for family and friends will be held prior to the service beginning at 4 p.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to The Greater Rolla Area Charitable Enterprise (G.R.A.C.E.).
