James Zeain Dyal, age 85, passed away at home on Tuesday, August 19, 2025. He is survived by his wife Carolyn of 59 years; son, Jamie Dyal; daughter and son-in-law, Mary and David Stepp; daughter and son-in-law, Zandra and Casey Anthony; grandson and granddaughter-in-law, Derek and Kayla Dyal; grandson, Cooper Anthony; granddaughter, Lucy Anthony; great grandchildren, Kensington, Kora, and Kip Dyal; brother and sister-in law, Fred and Marilyn Dyal; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Clyde and Audrey Gilbert; and a host of nephews and nieces.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Joseph and Lucy Dyal; father-in- law and mother-in-law, JB and Mary Jane Lambert; sisters and brothers-in-law, Emaline and Bill Bagwell, Angie and Lenoir Fox, Virgina and Marvin Russell, Olean and Everette Lawson; sister, Janice Gilbert; brothers and sisters-in law, Joe and Barbra Dyal, Daniel and Joann Dyal, and Jerry and Patricia Dyal.

Zeain was a Mason, a Shriner, and an Eastern Star. He was a devoted member of Brewerton Masonic Lodge #183 Ware Shoals, SC where he was a past master of the lodge.

The family would like to thank Clinch River Home Health for providing care that allowed Zeain to remain at home surrounded by his family. They also want to thank Smokey Mountain Hospice for their dedication and compassion during this difficult time. The family will forever be grateful to Shan Wolfe for her dedication and the compassionate care she provided not only for Zeain, but for the entire family. They are also grateful to Aaron Smith for his dedication and willingness to do whatever was needed to care for Zeain. The family will never be able to thank the two of you for what you have meant in our lives.

A graveside service with Masonic Rites will be held at Greenwood Memorial Gardens, on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at 11 AM. Pallbearers will be David Dyal, Dusty Dyal, Wayne Dyal, Kevin Dyal, Roy Davis and Phillip Gilbert.
