James Easton, Jr. Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jun. 14, 2012.
EASTON, James Stephen Jr., 34, of Gibsonton died June 12, 2012. He was born on June 12, 1978. His parents expected to have a baby girl, and so he did not have a name for three days, but in order to bring him home he had to have a name and that is how he got stuck with "Jr." Within a week of his birth he was already fighting for his life with a very rare disease called cytomeglic disorder which most children do not survive at birth much less a week, but he beat it! As he grew up he was always a clown and loved to make people laugh. He played little league baseball and football at East Bay Little League where he met many of the friends that he still loved and stayed in contact with over the years. He wrestled at East Bay High School starting as a freshman at 112 pounds. If you did not know him then you probably would not believe it because he grew into a much larger man especially with his heart and smile. He graduated from East Bay High School in 1996, and went straight to work in the family business, which was not to his liking, and became a great carpenter in remodeling and building docks. After about ten years, he decided to lift things a little lighter and became a server, waiter and bartender. This was perfectly suited for him because of his upbeat, outgoing personality, and his ability to make you laugh or at least smile. In his 34 years he made many friends. It was hard not to like him. He passed away on his birthday after a fun day at the beach, spending time with his friends and his sister who he loved so much. He lived life to the fullest and he will be deeply missed by all whose life he touched. He was a fantastic uncle, brother and son and our world will never be the same. Rest in Peace, son, we love you. He is survived by his nieces, Sidney Williams and Quinn Rainbeau; sister, Tia Williams; Papa Steve and Mama Celia; grandmother, Dorothy Pitts; and many cousins, aunts and uncles. A visitation will be held 2-3 p.m., with a funeral service following at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, June 23, 2012, at Stowers Funeral Home. Everyone is requested to wear casual attire. A Celebration of his Life will follow the service at Gator Springs. Those who wish may make donations to St. Baldricks Foundation, www.stbaldricks.org.

Steve: you were always such a good, kind loving kid who always made people laugh. you are greatly missed and forever loved.
Steve & Celia: I am so sorry for your loss. There are no words to ease the pain and hurt, how I wish there was. I pray that in time you find some peace. Love, Shanna

June 18, 2012

Dear Celia and Steve,
Wish there were words to make the hurt go away, but we know that is not possible. Parents are not supposed to out live their children. Cry when you feel like it, don't be brave. But, laugh and hang on to the memories. They will be with you forever. Grandpa Pitts and Uncle Wayne are probably talking his ear off. He will be loved forever. Keeping you in my prayers. Today we went to O'tooles and had a great Father's Day for your Dad. We're going to miss you so much. Seems like things will never be the same but, I refuse the think that we need to be sad but, be happy! You always made people happy and you would smile and it would make (US) smile. We love you more than words. I will always remember the Creek Parties and our Keg stands. Thank you brother you always holding me up. Not sure who will help with my keg stands now. You will always be my sweet smelling teddy bear. Emily said she loves you and wish she had more time with you, she was a baby when you would hold her and rock her to sleep for James and I. She will always remember you too. Rest in Peace Brother!!!! Until later!!!
