James "Jerry" Neal Edgin, age 65, of Ashland City, Tennessee, passed away at his home surrounded by loved ones on Wednesday, February 7, 2024. He was born in Ashland City, Tennessee, on August 7, 1958, to the late William David Edgin and Roberta (Hunter) Edgin. Jerry was a truck driver and loved what he did. He liked to tinker around in his shop and build things that people said could not be built. He was the definition of redneck ingenuity. He loved Nascar and drag racing. Jerry is preceded in death by his parents, William and Roberta Edgin; beloved wife, Pam (Brown) Edgin; and brother, David Edgin. He is survived by his son, James "Bubba" W. Edgin; daughter, Kathryn McAllister; grandchildren, James Lucas Edgin, Cortney Edgin, and Paige Renae McAllister; great grandchildren, Jaycee Kaye Dusek and Presley Tenise Westmoreland; and many extended family members. Funeral service will be Saturday, February 10, 2024, at 2pm in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Mt. Liberty Cemetery in Charlotte, Tennessee. Visitation will be Friday, February 9, 2024, from 3pm to 8pm and Saturday, February 10, 2024, from 10am until the service hour of 2pm. Serving as pallbearers will be Ronn McAllister, James "Cowboy" Scruggs, Roger Eyler, Billy Edgin, Steve Tucker, and Terry Simpkins.
