Our beloved husband and sweet Dad left this earth to join his Heavenly Father on February 9, 2024. He was greeted in Heaven by his father, James Hagens Edmonds, and his mother, Dollie Ione Edmonds.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, February 20, 2024, at 10 AM, at Immanuel Baptist Church, 4020 E. University Blvd., Odessa, TX.
Jim will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 41 years, Vickie; his three beloved daughters, Ashley Thinel (Sebastien), Chelsea Carrell, and Hailey Dubord (Jocelyn); six grandchildren, Maddx & Jett Thinel, Chaynee & Cayson Carrell, and Knoxx & Jakk Dubord; sister, Marla Reese (Gary); nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.
Jim's Christian faith was an essential part of his life. He was a die-hard Dallas Cowboys fan, passionate about golf, and loved spending time and playing Fortnite with his grandkids.
He was born in Anson, Texas on November 21, 1956. He attended Permian High School and graduated in 1975. Jim married his love, Vickie, in July 1982. Together, they raised three girls, who were the pride of his life. He also held a special place in his heart for his two sons-in-law, who he referred to as the sons he never had.
Jim and Vickie recently retired to Daphne, Alabama, where they were fulfilling their dreams of traveling and living his best life.
Jim's life was the epitome of a life well lived. Our hearts will forever miss him, but his legacy will live on.
