James D. "Jim" Edmonds, 80, of McLouth, died Monday, May 12, 2025 at Twin Oaks Health Care in Lansing, KS. Jim was born May 6, 1945 at Topeka the son of Charles Edwin and Estell Lorene Koons Edmonds. He was a 1963 graduate of McLouth High School. He worked as an auto mechanic and auto body craftsman for Associated Grocers of Kansas City, retiring in 1996 after 30 years of service. He served in the U.S. National Guard.
He was a member of McLouth United Methodist Church, the Williams-Kesinger American Legion Post #393 of McLouth, the Antique Caterpillar Club and the McLouth Threshing Bee Association.
He married Ruth Ann Bower on April 10, 1971 at McLouth, she survives at home. He is also survived by two sons, Chris (Lea Ann) Edmonds and Darin (Holly) Edmonds, both of McLouth and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Kent Edmonds.
Cremation Care is planned. No services are planned at this time. Memorials suggested to Alzheimer's Foundation or to McLouth Threshing Bee Association. Barnett Family Funeral Home /Jefferson County Crematory is assisting the family.
