James Effinger

James Francis Effinger, a beacon of love and adventure, passed away peacefully on November 25, 2024, at home in California, at the age of 89. Born on September 25, 1935, James was the son of the late Myrtle Florence Effinger and Francis William Effinger, and brother to the late William Effinger.

James is lovingly remembered by his devoted wife, Diane Theresa Effinger. He also leaves behind Anne Montgomery Effinger and their children, Dan Effinger, Sherri Cushing, and Shelly Morris. James also was a father to his "hanai" children, Danielle Klaus Mazur, Harry Francis Klaus, and Jennifer Lynn Fisher. Known affectionately as "Papa," James's legacy of love extends to 17 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

A self-made businessman, James's career was a testament to his passion and entrepreneurial spirit. He embarked on a journey through sales, building and construction, and real estate development, earning admiration and respect in his community. His commitment to excellence and drive to succeed were hallmarks of his professional life.

James embraced life with an adventurous spirit, finding joy in sailing and traveling. His zest for life inspired those around him to pursue their passions with equal fervor. James's life was a celebration of love, family, and perseverance, leaving a lasting impact on all who knew him.

His memory will be cherished, and his legacy will continue to inspire future generations. A private family gathering will be held to honor and celebrate his amazing life.
