Memorial services for James. H. Eppinette, Jr. 75, of Monroe, LA, will be held at 11:00AM, Saturday, January 6, 2024, at North Monroe Baptist Church, West Venue, Monroe, LA with Rev. Warren Eckhardt officiating. Visitation will be from 10: 00AM until time of service at North Monroe Baptist Church, West Venue. Mr. Eppinette was born, in Monroe, LA and passed away Wednesday, January 3, 2024 at St. Francis Medical Center.
Jay worked for Poly Processing in the Shipping Department for 33 years. He proudly served in the United States Navy during The Vietnam War and was serving on the USS Chicago as a mechanic during that time. Jay was a man who loved God and loved his church, North Monroe Baptist Church. He loved his family and if you talked to him for any length of time, you knew that because he told you. His sense of humor was like no other and everyone had a nickname.
Mr. Eppinette was preceded in death by his father, James Eppinette Sr,; mother, Dorothy Landis Eppinette; and numerous aunts and uncles.
Survivors include his daughter, Whitney Pollard and fiancée, Sawyer Williams; grandson, Corban James Pollard; uncle, Eugene Eppinette and wife Sharon; aunt, Loretta Wink; special companion, Kelly Eppinette; and numerous cousins.
Pallbearers will be Mark Leath, Skeeter Boyd, Owen Windham, Joey Windham, Kenny Cagle, Kevin Hudson, David McCullem, Randy Barnett, and Fred Windham.
