James Richard “Jim” Escue of Camby, Indiana passed away December 24, 2024, at 89 years old. He was born on May 15, 1935, in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Jessie Hayden and Cyada (Mandrell) Escue. Jim was retired from Owens Corning Fiberglass where he was a Warehouse Manager. He enjoyed camping, fishing, Auto Races, Square Dancing, and spending time with his family. Jim was described as hard working, kind, strong, a great Dad and loving husband. He was a member of Fleming Garden Christian Church here in Indianapolis, Indiana. Jim is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Joanne (Remmel) Escue, his children, Mike “Rick” (Jamie) Escue, Gary “Butch” (Paula) Escue, Tim (Brenda) Escue, his 8 grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren. He is also survived by several nieces & nephews, whom he loved dearly. Visitation for Jim will be on Saturday, January 4, 2025, 12:00pm-2:00pm at Flanner Buchanan Decatur Township with the funeral service immediately following at 2:00pm. Flanner Buchanan is assisting the family with the cremation arrangements. The family request that any memorial gifts be directed to Fleming Garden Christian Church or Anew Hospice.
