James Harold "Jim" Eubanks, 92, passed away peacefully on December 1, 2025, at his home in Linden California.
He was born on December 31, 1932, in the Rushing community north of Dover to James "Bud" and Anna Dare Eubanks. He attended school in Dover and graduated in 1950. He served in the Army in Korea in 1953-54. He was a Sergeant in the First Field Observation Battalion of the 8th Army. After being discharged from the Army he attended Arkansas Tech on the GI bill. Jim then travelled to California where he met and married Virginia Page in 1961. They had 2 sons, James and David. Jim worked as an Operating Engineer in construction for 30 years until he retired. He loved traveling, outdoor activities and especially hunting and fishing in the Ozark and Sierra Nevada mountains. He also enjoyed photography, gardening and country music. He liked to build things and always had a project he was working on.
Jim is survived by his loving wife of 64 years Virginia, his sons James (Kathleen) Eubanks of Canada and David (Nancy) Eubanks of California. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Julia and James Eubanks of Canada, David and Matthew Eubanks of California and Jorge and Michael Ulloa of California. He is also survived by his sister Margaret Eubanks DiNino of Connecticut and by many nephews nieces and cousins.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents Bud and Anna Eubanks and his brother Redmond Eubanks.
Jim was a Christian and was thankful for every day he was given. He will be buried in the Rushing Cemetery.
