James Facio

Born on January 20, 1943,
James dedicated over 35
years of his life as a long-
shoreman and was deeply
involved in the union. Even
after retirement, he remained
committed to his peers by
serving on the pensioners'
committee. His work ethic
and dedication left a lasting
impact on those who knew
him.

Beyond his career, James
proudly served in the Army
Reserves for three years. James earned his BA while attending Sacramento State and Sacramento City colleges. He
had a passion for sports and
the outdoors, enjoying golf,
softball, hunting, and fishing.
He also found joy in coach-
ing baseball and softball,
sharing his knowledge and
enthusiasm with others.

James is survived by his
loving wife, Christine; his
son, James Jr.; his daughter,
Monica; and his grandchil-
dren Jael, Ashlynd, Phoenix,
and Mavrick. He is also survived by his siblings John,
Larry, Joey, Patty, and Mary.
He was preceded in death by
his parents Cresencio and
Margarita and several broth-
ers and sisters.

James will be remembered
as a caring mentor with a
great sense of humor and a
love for dancing. His legacy
of hard work and kindness
will live on in the hearts of
those who knew him.
