James Feder, a devoted husband, father, and brother, passed away peacefully on April 27, 2025, at the age of 75. Born on February 7, 1950, in Chicago, Illinois, James dedicated himself to a long and fulfilling career as the lead ramp service for United Airlines for over 20 years. His hard work and passion for his job not only defined his professional life but also contributed to the many friendships he cultivated throughout the years. In addition to his work at United, James was also a dedicated teacher, taking great personal interest in the lives of his students. He approached teaching with the same warmth, care, and commitment he showed in all areas of his life, leaving a lasting impact on those he mentored.

A man known for his caring nature and comedic spirit, James possessed a rich personality filled with humor and warmth. He was a great storyteller, always engaging those around him with tales that brought laughter and joy. Those who knew him best often described him as friendly qualities that endeared him to friends and family alike.

James cherished the time spent with his loved ones, relishing in simple moments such as watching classic shows like The Three Stooges, indulging in Death Wish and Pineapple Express, or enjoying King of the Hill with his children and bonding with his many dogs. His family was his pride and joy, and he deeply valued the memories created together.

In addition to his commitment to family, James had varied interests that included being outdoors, doing yard work, playing the air trumpet, and reading. He had a particular fascination with Chicago's history, the Civil War, and even the conspiracy theories surrounding JFK, which led to many engaging discussions.

He had a passion for Bob Evans pork sausages and diet pepsi.

Travel was another passion of James's life. He created cherished memories during his trips to San Antonio, Bermuda, and Disney, each destination adding to the tapestry of experiences he shared with his family.

James is survived by his beloved wife, Sandra Feder; his children, Amanda, Lukas, and Angelique (his most trusted partner in crime); and his sisters, Patricia and Carol. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thaddeus and Constance Feder.

A memorial service to celebrate James's life will be held on May 5, 2025, at St. Peter Lutheran Church & School in Schaumburg, Illinois, visitation starting at 3:00pm with service starting at 3:30pm.

As we remember James, we honor not only the legacy of his hardworking spirit but also the kindness and joy he brought into the lives of everyone he met. He will be dearly missed but fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
