James Thomas Fleming, 77, of Springfield, PA, passed away on February 28, 2023. Affectionately known as JT, or Jimmy-Tom if he was in trouble, he was born April 24, 1945, the son of the late John and Grace Fleming and brother of Jack Fleming. Beloved husband of the late JoAnn Fleming for 49 years and the loving father of Catherine Thomas (sp. David Thomas), Jamie Fleming (sp. Jennifer Fleming), and Joseph Fleming. He was also a cherished Pop-Pop to Maggie, Caylee, J.D., Jack, Serenity, Nicholas, Zoe, Alexander, and Persephone.
JT had a great sense of adventure and loved to travel with his family, taking them on many memorable trips and adventures. He was an avid recycler who was able to repurpose just about anything. He loved to fish and was a skilled gold prospector, always eager to share his knowledge and experience with others. JT also enjoyed trips to the casino, where he loved to play blackjack and spend time with friends. JT's kindness, humor, stubbornness, and love for his family will always be remembered and cherished by those who knew him.
Relatives and friends are invited to his Viewing Monday, March 6, 2023 at 10:00am, O'Leary Funeral Home, 640 E. Springfield Road, Springfield, PA 19064, and to his Funeral Service at 11:30am in the Funeral Home. A private interment will follow at a future date.
