He was a long-time member of First Baptist Church. After retirement, time was spent serving on the Alabama Historic Commission Board, attending continuing education classes, travel and spending time with family especially enjoying time spent in Florida and time with his children and grandchildren whom he loved so well. He led by example and was a wonderful friend and mentor to many. He continued to love and support Auburn.

And, to the caregivers at Brookdale at Home that were a consistent source of attentive care and kind encouragement as needed.

The funeral service will be held at First Baptist Church in Huntsville, AL on June 24 at 11:00 AM with visitation beginning at 10:00AM. Burial will follow at Maple Hill Cemetery.

So sorry for your loss. We are distant cousins through Buster Foshee, my grandfather. I believe James came out and visited me on my farm several years ago. He was so nice and I enjoyed the visit.
