Jim fox was my first and favorite boss. Working at his first shop in Pitcairn, just a few doors from my house on broadway. No matter how big he became in the pizza world, he never lost his Pitcairn roots. Was never too busy to stop and talk with you and make you feel like you were very special. He will never be forgotten or replaced.

Jim Fox Senior was the pizza industries greatest spokesperson who always shared his passion and success with all those that showed the same love he had for over 60 years. After meeting him in 1995 most of us knew very little about what the pizza business was all about but boy were we all ears and ready to learn when Senior spoke. He shared just about everything from what size a pizza shop you would need to succeed if renting to the type of ladle you used to spread sauce to how cheese melted to how conveyor ovens performed vs deck ovens. He would talk about the pizza industry all day leaving few secrets untold. That model Senior built to empower those who were as passionate about pizza to succeed was truly started by Senior and continues to live on with all of us who which makes him a true pioneer in an industry, we all truly could never live without. We will remember and miss you forever Senior and may the good Lord let your legend live on! The Pastorelli Family

I attended Navy Boot Camp with Jim, and we attended Navy meetings in Pittsburgh for a while. He often talked about opening a pizza shop when he got out. Jim was a cheerful person and always made you laugh. I'm sorry to hear about his passing. I hope his family is doing well. I have included a picture of our Navy Group Photo from the Great Lakes Naval Training Center. The saying for a fallen shipmate is "Fair Winds and Following Seas."

I graduated with Jim in 1965 and hubby was a friend from Pitcairn. When he had an office on 286 hubby (Jim) would stop an harass Jim just for the fun of it. All around nice person!
