James "Jimmy" Gilreath

James "Jimmy" Gilreath, age 74, of Cloudland, GA, passed away Saturday, June 17, 2023.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Woodrow and Mary Lou Gilreath.
Jimmy was a member of Old Way Baptist Church in Trion. He was a proud Army veteran of Vietnam and a Purple Heart recipient.
He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Faye Mitchell Gilreath; sons, David Mitchell Gilreath, Wade (Cindy) Gilreath, and Paul Mitchell Gilreath; grandchildren, Emily Hopkins, Savannah, Dalton, Dylan, and Breanna Gilreath, and Krystina Mouah; great granddaughter, Ellie Ketterer; sister, Patsy Westmoreland; brothers, Johnny Gilreath and Jack Ware; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held at 12 p.m. on Tuesday, June 20, at Old Way Baptist Church with Pastor David Thompson officiating.
Interment will be held at the LaFayette City Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Joel Bowman, Michael Bowman, Jack Mitchell Jr., Shelby Dennison, Cody Dennison, Joe Cauthen, and Chris Wallace.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday, June 19, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and at the church on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the service hour.
Arrangements are by Wallis-Wilbanks Funeral Home, LaFayette.
