GREENFIELD – James E. Glascock, age 68, of Greenfield, passed away Saturday, May 11, 2024. He was born in Greenfield on April 22, 1956, to A. Gordon and Marie C. (Garst) Glascock. He graduated from Eastern Hancock High School in 1975.
Mr. Glascock was a Grain and Livestock Farmer all his life. He was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church. He loved country music and Taylor Swift. He enjoyed spending time with his Yellow Lab, Mario.
James is survived by his brothers, John R. Glascock of Greenfield, Dennis J. Glascock of Sheridan, Indiana, and David L. Glascock of Greenfield; nephew Eric Glascock of Pickerington, Ohio; and many cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Josephine A. Glascock.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm. on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, at Erlewein Mortuary, 1484 W. US Hwy. 40, Greenfield, IN 46140. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, May 16, 2024, at St. Michael Catholic Church, 519 Jefferson Blvd., Greenfield, IN 46140, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Park Cemetery in Greenfield.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made by mail to the Hancock County Humane Society, 214 E Main St., Greenfield, IN 46140. Envelopes will be available at the mortuary and church. Friends may share a memory or condolence at www.erleweinmortuary.com.
