James R. Goob

On Tuesday, August 26, 2025, James R. "Jim" Goob, age 73, of Baldwin Boro, passed away peacefully with family by his side. Son of the late Harry and Josephine Goob; beloved husband of 52 years to Kathleen A. (Harrison) Goob; loving father of Derek James (Natoria "Tori") Goob and his devoted daughter Lauren Goob; proud grandfather of Westley James Goob; brother of Harry (Judy) Goob, Regis Goob, and the late Barbara (Walter) Long, Terri Nalepa, and Kathleen (Russell) Conley; brother-in-law of Karen (John), Ace, Janell, Linda, Lori, and Ricky; best friend of 73 years to John Schanck; also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and cousins. Jim worked for Thomas DiDiano Construction for over 46 years, and was a member of Local Union No. 373. He was a member of the German Social Club, an avid fisherman and member of a local bowling league. Jim was a devoted father and adoring grandfather. He loved spending time with his family, and cherished the time he was given with his only grandson, Westley. He was generous with his time and talents, including car maintenance, home repair, and various construction jobs. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him, in whose memory he will be ever present. In accordance with Jim's wishes, there will be no services.
