James Robert "Jim" Goode, 83, of Hustonville passed away on Friday, June 13, 2025. Born April 3, 1942, he was the son of the late Robert and Pearl Upton Goode. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Amelia Leigh Goode.
Jim is survived by two children, Robert Allen Goode and Barbara Sue Goode; four stepchildren: Stephanie Spackman of Utah, Scott (Penny) Upton of Danville, Sandy Conder of Danville, and Robert Coulter (Reggie) of Atlanta; two brothers, Benny (Teresa) Goode of Danville, Larry Goode (Lannie Lear) of Danville, Ann Cocanougher of Danville, and Judy Harmon of Danville; grandchildren; and great grandchildren.
Jim had worked as the minister of music at several churches with Gethsemane Baptist being the last church. He loved to sing and continued even while in the nursing home. He has blessed so many people with his singing. He also loved the WDFB radio family and was very involved in that ministry.
A Memorial Service will be held in a few weeks. Details to follow.

I´m known Jimmy almost all my life. First at Gethsemane and he was friends with my parents. Later he was a manager at Royalty Keightley where I worked. Great man!
