James "Michael" Grant

On September 4, 2025, James “Michael” Grant peacefully passed away, surrounded by the love of his family. He was the beloved husband of Mary “Rita” Grant; devoted and loving father of Jeffrey Grant and his wife Tammy, James “Edward” Grant and his wife Christie, and Lori Weaver. He was the cherished grandfather of Jamie Grant, Joey Grant, Ross Weaver, Allie Grant, and Bryan Weaver, and the dear brother-in-law of Patricia M. Ditman.

Michael faithfully dedicated 37 years of service to the Social Security Administration, where his hard work and commitment touched many lives. Beyond his career, he was known in the community for bringing joy to countless children as “Santa Claus,” visiting schools, scout troops, and hospitals with a warm heart and a generous spirit.

Family and friends will be received at the E.F. Lassahn Funeral Home, P.A., 11750 Belair Road in Kingsville on Wednesday September 10th from 5:00pm to 8:00pm. A viewing and funeral service to celebrate Michael’s life will be held at the funeral home on Thursday September 11th with the viewing beginning at 10:00am followed by the funeral at 12:00pm.
