James "Dan" Gray, born on August 18, 1958, in Hot Springs, Arkansas, passed away on February 2, 2025, in Bismarck, Arkansas

Dan was a man of many interests and strengths, embodying a family-oriented spirit. His life was enriched by his love for the outdoors, particularly through his hobbies of hunting and fishing, which brought him joy and camaraderie with friends and family. He was also a proud member of a local fishing club, where he found community and shared his passion for the sport.

He was a dedicated and respected radiology technician, serving for 30 years at Hot Springs CHI St. Vincent, where he made a significant impact on the lives of both patients and colleagues throughout his career. His commitment to service extended beyond his professional career; Dan served in the Air Force for five years, contributing to the nation with honor and dedication.

Dan is survived by his father, Jimmy Gray; his brother, Tom Gray; his sister, Nancy (Tim) Bucknall, three grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his mother, Frances Lawrence-Gray, and his daughter, Sarah Gray. His legacy will continue to resonate with those who loved and knew him, as they celebrate a life well lived.

A visitation will be held for friends and family on February 6, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Smith Family Funeral Home in Hot Springs, Arkansas. During this time, all are welcome to share their remembrances of Dan, honoring the cherished moments and memories that he leaves behind.
