James Michael Greene, born on February 27th, 1948, in
Spruce Pine, North Carolina, passed away peacefully from natural causes on March 10th, 2026, in
Stokesdale, North Carolina, at the age of 78.
Jim began his career in the route sales industry, where he developed a strong work ethic and a dedication to service. For the past twenty years, he and his beloved wife, Joyce, owned and operated Church Video Solutions, a business specializing in the installation and management of church media equipment. Together, they served numerous congregations, enhancing their worship experiences through technology.
A man of varied interests, Jim found joy in photography, capturing the beauty of the world through his lens. He had a passion for vintage cars, appreciating their craftsmanship and history. James also cherished the time spent tending to their farm, finding peace and fulfillment in the land.
Jim was a devoted member of Shiloh Holiness Church of God in Christ in Southeast Greensboro, where he was known for his faith and commitment to his community.
He is preceded in death by his sister, Elizabeth Jones. James leaves behind a loving family, including his wife, Joyce Greene of the home; his daughter, Jennifer Wooten and her husband, Mike, of Stokesdale; and his cherished grandchildren, Nora "Niko" and Bella Wooten. He is also survived by his sister, Mary Lou Woody and her husband, Marvin, of Spruce Pine, as well as numerous nieces and nephews who will fondly remember him.
A service to honor and celebrate Jims's life is being planned for a future date. His family and friends will gather to remember a life well-lived, marked by love, dedication, and a deep sense of community.
James Michael Greene will be dearly missed by all who knew him, but his legacy will live on in the hearts of those he touched.
