On January 18, 1951, God blessed the world with the life of James Dean Greenwood (Jim). He was called to Heaven by angels on April 10, 2025 to be with his Lord and Savior. He was 74.
Jim was born in Fargo, ND. He graduated from Willits High School in Willits, California and joined the US Marines Corp. He proudly served his country from 1970 until 1975; rising to the rank of Sergeant. He worked as an electronic technician in the operating room during the pioneering days of heart transplants. Jim was a world traveler, spending time in China, building white rooms for the production of computer processors before he retired.
Jim was a generous man. He'd always be there to help someone in need. He loved animals, especially his beloved dog Congi...they were inseparable companions. Jim lived a life that would be a testament to the human experience...with love and faith, through pain and struggle....it was a beautiful journey.
He was a friend, a brother, a cousin, an uncle, a dad and grandfather. He loved so many people and so many people loved him and are going to miss him dearly.
He is survived by his sons Bryan and James; grandson Eli and granddaughter Anna; Sisters Patsy, Sandra and Diana; Brothers Richard and Jack; sister-in-law Marsha and brothers-in-law Glenn and Manuel, as well as cousins, nieces and nephews.
His final resting place is in Dixon, California at the Sacramento Valley National Cemetery.
