James Griffis, Sr. Obituary
James R. Griffis Sr., age 80, resident of DeFuniak Springs, Florida, was born May 5th, 1944, and passed on March 11th, 2025. James served in the United States Air Force from 1965-1985.
He's preceded in death by; his wife, Ellen C. Griffis.
James is survived by; his son James R. (Sharon) Griffis Jr. of Huntsville, AL; his daughter, Evelyn D. (Larry) Montgomery of Crestview, FL; his grandsons, Larry S. Montgomery of Crestview, FL, and Steven Montgomery of Colorado Springs, CO; his sisters, Romona McMillian of DeFuniak Springs, FL, and Sharon Dianne Griffis of Merritt Island, FL.
James Griffis Sr.'s graveside service will be held on March 28th, 2025, at 12 P.M. at Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery, with David W. King, Bishop of First Apostolic Church, officiating. Burial will follow the graveside service at Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 11 A.M. to 12 P.M. at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home.
