Mr. James Franklin "Frankie" Griffith, Age 77, - A native of Meridian, MS and a longtime resident of Chickasaw, AL passed away peacefully on Saturday morning, July 20, 2024.

Frankie was a hardworking, humble, very dedicated man, who was a mentor to many. He served in the army, stationed in Germany, during the Vietnam War. He proudly worked as a Union Boilermaker (Local 112) for the majority of his career, retiring at age 57. He enjoyed his retired years fishing, crabbing, spending time with friends and family, or working on one of his many projects. He was a loving man, willing to help anyone in need. To know Frankie was to love him and he will be missed by many.

He is preceded in death by his parents, James Dewitt and Florence Griffith; and 3 brothers, Lester Griffith, George Griffith, and Wayne "Tiny" Griffith.

He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Sandra Mae Griffith; his nephew "lil dude", Clayton (Cirsten) Griffith, who he lovingly embraced as a father would a son; three siblings: one sister, Elaine Leonard; two brothers, Kit (Heather) Griffith, and Ronnie (Stephanie) Griffith; brother-in-law, Mack Tucker; and many nieces, nephews, other family members, special neighbors, and great friends.

Visitation for Frankie will be held July 25th, 2024, at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 6040 Three Notch Rd, Mobile, AL 36619, from 11am to Noon, with services immediately to follow.
