James Noah Griffith, 88, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 11, 2025. He was a resident at Hillcrest Village in Jeffersonville, Indiana.
He was born December 31, 1936 in Klamath Falls, Oregon, son of George Edward and Dorothy Hulse Griffith. He was the oldest of five siblings.
Jim was a retired boiler operator of 35 years for General Electric, an Army veteran, current member of Louisville Grace Community Church Of The Nazarene, and former member of Middletown Church of God.
Jim was a kind Christian man with a big heart that was willing to help anyone in need. He would always witness his faith to everyone he spoke with – he never met a stranger. His memory will forever be cherished by his family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Norma Freudenberger Griffith; brother, Jerry Griffith; and brother-in-laws, Walter Nein, and John Nein.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Batthauer Griffith; children, Diane Owen (Jeff) and Troy Griffith (Veronica); grandchildren, Andrea Fraze (Jaren), Cody, Alex and Brandon Griffith, Kelsey Bullock (Keith) and Wade Matthews; seven great grandchildren; sisters, Jennett Nein, Agnes Nein and Marlene Hart, sister-in-law, Sheena Griffith, and many nephews and nieces.
His funeral is 1:30pm Wednesday, March 19, 2025 at Fern Creek Funeral Home, 5406 Bardstown Road, Louisville, Kentucky with burial in Highland Memory Gardens, Mt. Washington, Kentucky. Visitation is 3-7pm Tuesday, March 18, 2025 at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the mission ministry for the Louisville Grace Community Church Of The Nazarene.
