James "Jamie" Thomas Haith Jr. of
Dover, Delaware, passed away peacefully on August 9, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, generosity, and love. Born on February 12, 1973, to Valerie Harris and the late James Haith Sr., Jamie grew up in the Capital Park section of
Dover, Delaware. He was educated in the Capital School District public system, where he formed lifelong friendships and built a deep connection to his community.
Jamie had a remarkable gift for working with his hands. As a talented mechanic, he could fix just about anything and often used his skills to help friends, family, and even strangers in need. His ability to repair things was matched only by his ability to uplift those around him with his easy smile and caring spirit. Known and loved by his community, Jamie was famous for "putting something on the grill" and feeding anyone who was hungry. He even launched his own transportation service-proudly called "Ghetto Services," though many affectionately knew it as "Ghetto Uber."
Jamie also had a great love for dogs. He took joy in caring for them, walking them, and even breeding them. It was a source of pride for him, and he poured the same dedication and compassion into caring for animals as he did for the people in his life.
A proud and loyal Philadelphia Eagles fan, Jamie wore his green with pride and never missed an opportunity to cheer on his team-win or lose. His love for the game was infectious, and Sundays during football season were always special. He especially enjoyed watching games with his brother Barry in the "man cave," where their laughter and commentary filled the room.
Though Jamie's personality could seem reserved at first, those who knew him discovered a man with a big heart, a sharp wit, and an unmatched generosity of spirit. He will be remembered for his talents, his humor, and the joy he brought to everyone blessed to know him.
Jamie was preceded in death by his father, James Haith Sr. of
