James Arlon "Jimmy" Hall

James Arlon "Jimmy" Hall, 70, beloved Brother, was called to his eternal resting place on January 13, 2024.  He entered this world on November 10, 1953, in Austin, TX, born to Gene and Mary Joyce Hall.   His father was in the military, and Jimmy and his family were living in Thailand during his senior year of high school.  He graduated in 1972 from the International School of Bangkok.

Jimmy served in the United States Air Force and after he was honorably discharged, he attended both Amarillo College and Wayland Baptist University, where he earned his degree as a radiology technician.  

He moved to Groesbeck, TX to work as the radiology technician at Limestone Medical Center.  After he moved to Groesbeck, he loved the area and bought property outside Groesbeck where he dreamed of building a house.   After his retirement, and when he was wheelchair bound, his sister built Jimmy his dream home on his land.

Jimmy was very intellectual and was an avid reader. His left-handed penmanship was very beautiful.  In his spare time, he liked to write poetry, and recently had been published.  Jimmy was a Christian and some of his writings were religious. He had friends from all over the world and enjoyed talking with them through internet and Facebook.  He even taught himself French so he could talk with a French lady he met online.  Jimmy had a love for dogs, and owned Whippets; he especially loved his dogs, Sammy, Max and Luke. During recent stays at Windsor Healthcare Residence, he really liked the staff.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents.  

He is survived by his sister, Linda Bernal of Amarillo, TX; one brother, Ken Hall and wife Liwayway of San Lorenzo, CA; a nephew, Ryne Bernal of Dallas, TX; a niece, Emily Miranda Scott and husband Cody Scott of Amarillo, TX, and a great niece, Bryleigh Scott of Amarillo, Tx.
