James F. Hall

James F. Hall, a cherished member of the New Albany community, passed away peacefully on December 14, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. Born on February 19, 1947, in New Albany, Indiana, he was lifelong resident of this vibrant city.

James had a commendable career, dedicating 30 years of service to Ford Motors, where he was respected for his hard work and commitment. A proud graduate of New Albany High School, he carried the values of family and community throughout his life.

James will be fondly remembered for his passions, which included boating, cars, motorcycles, NASCAR, westerns, and fishing. He greatly valued spending time with family and friends, creating lasting memories that will be treasured by those who knew him.

In addition to his professional achievements, James was actively involved in various organizations, proudly claiming membership in the New Dimensions Christian Church, Redman Club, American Legion, VFW, Boys Scout Troop 4, and The Moose Club. His contributions to these groups underscored his commitment to service and fellowship.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Janice F. Hall, and their three sons, Jesse (Ashley) Hall, James Matthew (Shari) Hall, and Walter Jason Hall. James' legacy continues through his granddaughters, Gabby, Chloe, Gracie, Sasha, and Jazmine, as well as his great-grandchildren, Gabbie and Mason. He is also survived by his sister, Frances Hall, and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who cherished his presence in their lives.

James is preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Zelta Hall, as well as his brother, Roy Hall, and sisters Roberta Ekins, Carllotta Hall, and Barbara Hall. His family and friends remember him as a kind and dedicated individual who touched the lives of many.

Visitation services will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southern Indiana, located at 3309 Ballard Ln, New Albany, IN 47150, on Thursday, December 19, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and again on Friday, December 20, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service celebrating his life will follow on Friday, December 20, 2024, at 11:00 AM at the funeral home.

James F. Hall will be remembered not only for his accomplishments but also for the love he shared with those around him. His spirit will live on in the hearts of his family and friends as they gather to honor his life and legacy.
