James Doyle Hamblin

James Doyle Hamblin, age 76, of Clairfield, TN, went to be with his Lord and Savior on the evening of December 31, 2024. He was surrounded by his loved ones. Doyle was born March 5, 1948 in Clairfield, TN to the late Dewey and Edna Hatfield Hamblin.

Doyle was a person who would give the shirt off his back if you needed it. His contagious laugh and smile would light up a room. He will be greatly missed. 

Doyle was preceded in death by his loving wife of 54 years, Janie Powers Hamblin; parents, Dewey and Edna Hamblin; brothers, Buford and Tyce Hamblin; and sisters, Doe Collins, Gloria Partin, and Denise Teague. 

Left behind to celebrate his life and cherish his memory are his children, Tim Hamblin (Jill) of Pine Knot, KY, Cheryl Hamblin-Goodman (Mike) of Clairfield, TN, and Justin Hamblin (AJ) of Clairfield, TN; five grandchildren, Jordan (Amber) Hamblin, Kaleop Hamblin, Amy (Austin) Partin, Dustin Hamblin, and Katie Hamblin; four great-grandchildren, Kason, Mason, Everlie, and Maverick Hamblin, and one bonus granddaughter, Prayzlee Poe; siblings, Lynn Hamblin (Audrey), Wayne Hamblin (Kathy), Carl Hamblin, Debbie Hamblin, and Phyliss Potter, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

The family of Doyle Hamblin will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 8, 2025, at the Cawood Funeral Home Chapel, Middlesboro, KY.  Funeral services will follow at 4:00 p.m. with Brother Austin Partin presiding.  

Graveside services will be private.
