James August Hamilton, age 79, of Marietta, Georgia passed away July 4, 2024. Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, July 27, 2024 at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel in Marietta, Georgia. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Jack Hamilton and sister Ruth Cecila.
Jim was born August 23, 1944 in Evanston, Illinois to John and Mary Hamilton. In May 19, 1990 Jim married Jean Stewart from Marietta, GA. Jean and Jim were married 34 years. Jim was a Electrical Engineer. He was a kind and gentle man who will be missed by all who knew him. His family will miss him greatly.
Survivors include: wife of 34 years, Jean Hamilton; two daughters: Robin (Jeff) Greer and Debbie (Mike) Hathaway; six grandchildren: Brittany (Felipe), Taylor, Chloe, Zoie, Jacob and Lindsey (Brett); and four great-grandchildren: Bella, Sofia, Artemis, and Freya.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 27, 2024 from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta, Georgia.
His family is grateful for all the years he gave as a Loving Husband, Father, Grandfather and Great-Grandfather.
