James "JR" Hamilton and Mary "Alsidene" Hamilton passed peacefully from this earth and entered into eternal rest on June 27th and June 29th of 2025 respectively.
James was a long time butcher while Alsidene was a beautician. They both loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
James was preceded in death by his parents, Allene Hamilton of Bald Knob and James Hamilton Sr. of Newport, his daughter, Skye and his daughter in law, Amy both of Searcy.
Alsidene was preceded in death by her parents, Roland and Goldie Hodges of Griffithville; one daughter, Loretta Simmons; and son in law, Scott Pilkington both of Searcy; four brothers, Ronnie and Loyal of Searcy, Dywane of Griffithville, and RH of Mt. Home; and one sister, Lena Churchwell of Griffithville.
James is survived by one son, Monty and one daughter, Logan both of Searcy; two sisters, Brenda Hughes and husband, Danny of Searcy and Debby Duncan and husband, Ricky of Bald Knob; two brothers, Randy Hamilton and wife, Patsy of New Braunfels Tx, David Hamilton and wife, Sarah of Des Arc, Ar. Alsidene is survived by two daughters, Lisa Pilkington of Searcy and Laura Jackson and husband, Brad of Northlake Tx; two sisters, Barbara Jean Churchwell of Griffithville and Sandra Holloway and husband, Dale of White Settlement Tx. James and Alsidene had one son together, a feline son named Chase who loved his mommy and daddy dearly. They leave a legacy of 11 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and too many friends to list.
Visitation for JR and Alsidene will be at Searcy McEuen Funeral Home on Thursday, July 3, 2025 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. followed by a funeral service. Interment will be at Weir Cemetery. www.searcymceuenfuneralhome.com.
