James A. Hands

James Alexander Hands Jr.,88, passed away November 20, 2021. Born on April 5, 1933 in Detroit, Michigan to James A. and Eleanor (nee Hutchens) Hands. Retired business executive of the BASF-Inmont Corporation. Received his Bachelor's degree in Education from Monmouth College in 1955 where he was member of the football team and the Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity. A veteran of the Korean War conflict in 1955-1956. Married to Audrey Jean (nee Viet) Hands on June 29, 1957. She preceded his death on September 6th, 2019. He enjoyed sailing, tennis, piloting, art, traveling and spending time with friends and family. He especially enjoyed spending his summers at his cottage on Lake Leelanau, Michigan. Family members include his children, Shirley J. (Jay) Mason (d. November 6th, 2019), John M. (Maureen) Hands Esq. of Cincinnati OH., Jennifer L. (Bruce) Brown of Warsaw, KY. and James A. (Nancy) Hands III of Cincinnati, OH.; Grandchildren Aly Laughlin of Cincinnati, OH., Charlotte Hands of Columbia, SC., Max Hands of Miami, FL., Robert Hands of Cincinnati, OH., John P. Hands of Cincinnati, OH., Margaret Hands of Cincinnati, OH., Katherine Hands of Cincinnati, OH., Elise Mason of Cincinnati, OH., Zachary Brown of Louisville, KY. and Nicholas Brown of Burlington, KY. Preceded in death by parents; brother Joe Hands, sister Mary Ann (Hands) Locklear. Memorial Service at 3 PM on Saturday November 27, 2021 at Anderson Hills United Methodist Church 7515 Forest Rd.
