James S. Hanlon

James Shawn Hanlon, 65, passed away December 9, 2025 at his home in Glen Ellyn, IL. A fifty-five year resident of Wheaton and Glen Ellyn, James was affectionately known as Jamie to family and friends.
Jamie was born in Levittown, PA on September 14, 1960 and lived there until 1970. He then moved to Wheaton with his family where he attended high school at Wheaton North.
Jamie graduated from University of Wisconsin-Stout with a degree in Design. He started his career as a designer of trade show exhibits for Kitzing in Chicago. Jamie transitioned from design to sales where he assumed the position of Account Manager. In 2004, Exhibitgroup/Giltspur acquired Kitzing and Jamie remained until 1993.
Jamie's next career move was to Global Experience Specialist (GES) where he enjoyed 32 years as a Senior Account Director managing some of their largest accounts including Harley Davidson, Blackmagic Design and Husky Technologies.
Jamie had a lifelong interest and love for automobiles, aviation, and space. In his spare time he completely restored an antique 1972 BMW 2002. Jamie also loved to travel both nationally and internationally. His favorite locations were England, Germany and Ocean City, MD.
Jamie is survived by three brothers, Patrick (Janet) Hanlon, Randolph (Debbie) Hanlon, and David Hanlon, as well as nine nieces and nephews, and fourteen grand nieces and nephews. Jamie was preceded in death by his brother Paul Hanlon.
Visitation Monday December 29, from 4pm-8pm at Williams-Kampp Funeral Home. 430 E. Roosevelt Rd. Wheaton, additional visitation at St. Petronille Church on Tuesday December 30th, from 10am until time of Mass 11am. Interment St. Michael Cemetery Wheaton.
