Mr. James Harold “Bo” Vaughn, age 88 of Lewisville, passed away Friday, December 12, 2025, at the Joan & Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson, NC. He was born October 19, 1937, in Henry County VA to the late Bishop Russell Vaughn and Mary Frances Wirtz Vaughn. Mr. Vaughn retired after 40 years of service as both a long-distance and local truck driver. During his career he received many safe driving rewards with no accidents. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Nancy Vaughn; two daughters, Paula Clampitt (Gaius) and Karen Wooten of Clemmons; 3 grandchildren, Chris Clampitt, Ally, and Matt Wooten. Preceding him in death are 2 sisters, Mary Cookston and Pat York, 2 brothers, Eddie and Jerry Vaughn, 2 sisters-in-law, Kathy, and Audrey Vaughn, and 1 brother-in law, Terry Stewart. Also surviving are 3 brothers, Ronnie Vaughn (Cheryl), Donnie Vaughn (Jackie), Mike Vaughn as well as 1 sister, Brenda Stewart, sister-in-law, Pat Vaughn, and brother-in-law, Bill York. Mr. Vaughn also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews and a dear friend, Willie Shelton.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at Hayworth-Miller Lewisville Chapel by Pastor Zach King. Burial will follow in Westlawn Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. The family wishes to thank the Joan & Howard Woltz Hospice Home for the excellent care and kindness shown during this difficult time.
